Abstract:
The paper presents the results of rescue archaeological research that uncovered part of a defunct water-supply facility in the former settlement of Kamenný Mlýn in Brno. The installation was in operation from 1906 until the 1960s. The article compares archival documentation with the remains of this early 20th-century raw-water pumping station uncovered during archaeological investigation. The text thus offers a case study in industrial archaeology in the Czech Republic.
