Abstract:
This year we commemorated the fortieth anniversary of the opening of the „History of ironmaking – the development of ironmaking in the central part of the Moravian Karst“ in the building of Kameňák, the pattern house of the Liechtenstein ironworks in Josefov by Adamov, today’s Stará huť u Adamova. This venture essentially ended the process of reconstruction of the smelter buildings, although the original plans were much more generous. At the same time, ten years have passed since the listing of the blast furnace and the Kameňák building on the list of national cultural monuments of the Czech Republic. The text presented here briefly summarises the history of this important technical monument, gives a short description of the individual parts of the site and goes into a little more detail about what preceded and followed the opening of the exhibition.
