Abstract:
The contribution deals with a finding of a pyrotechnologic device revealed within a rescue archaeological research in Kopečná street in Brno. The found furnace belongs according to its construction and dating to a plentiful group of similar devices which are traditionally interpreted as food furnaces. However, the furnace was not the only one in the locality; it was situated within a settlement which spread out there at the turn of 12th and 13th centuries.
