Abstract:
The contribution reports about a finding of pyrotechnologic devices during a rescue archaeological research in territory of St. Anne Faculty Hospital in Brno (Pekařská street 53). Place of finding was a part of commendam complex of Order of St. John which was established in 1243. Seven structures were revealed there. Those were small surface or slightly deepened devices (furnaces). They were dated to the first half of 13th century. It can be hypothesized that they were part of a production area which could be related to construction of Holy Spirit Hospital or, subsequently, commendam of Order of St. John.
