Abstract:
The Technical Museum in Brno realizes sample and experimental bloomery ironmaking based on archaeological excavations of early medieval bloomeries in Moravian Karst. Smelts for public organized since 1993 were followed up with archeometallurgical experiments, which are nowadays held at Stará huť u Adamova (Old Ironworks by Adamov). The Historic and prehistoric iron smelting and processing workshops are organized with international participation from 2009.
