Abstract:
The objective of the contribution is another structure from the mining-production site at the Pyšolec castle, the research of which was conducted during the recent years. The site consists of a series of relics rather apparent in the forest landscape, dominated by the relics of a lime kiln. Apart from lime-burning, the production activity was also focused on the fabrication of charcoal, as shown by the presence of a charcoal-making site. Using the so-called anthracologic analyses of the carburized wood relics, the spectrum of used wood types could be determined. It is probable, that the charcoal was then used as auxiliary fuel for the lime-burning process.
