Abstract:
Within the scope of a multidisciplinary project adressing the mining and processing of marmor in the vicinity of the city Žďár nad Sázavou, archaeological excavations took place at the Dolinky site during autumn in 2016. Its purpose was to confirm the presumed occurence of lime kilns bound to the nearby mining site. By means of geophysical prospection followed by excavation, a single-chamber lime kiln and two clay pits dating from late medieval to new age have been documented.
