Abstract:
The aim of the contribution is to inform about the finds of medieval lime kilns in the area of the Dominican square in Brno. During archaeological rescue excavations conducted in the years 2000 and 2018, the relics of five objects were documented, probably associated with the oldest epoch of the building of the city, in this area specifically linked to the construction of important landmarks of the former Fish market of the Dominican Order monastery with the adjacent church of St. Michael, eventually also the Royal chapel and House of the Cistercian Nuns.
